How to read this result

The central estimate combines the EIA national monthly outlook with the Gulf Coast average price spread over 13 matched weekly observations. Stress cases use historical changes in regional monthly averages; they are not probability bounds. Monthly costs use 52 weeks divided by 12 months.

EIA retail prices include taxes. Your discounts, contracts and surcharges can change the result. Observed through August 31, 2026; EIA outlook released August 11, 2026. EIA source.

Forecasts are planning estimates, not guarantees. Actual prices may fall outside the range. This content is educational and is not financial advice.

Which fleets fit the current pilot profile?

The initial qualification range is approximately 10–75 trucks or 500–10,000 weekly diesel gallons. Applying does not commit your fleet to a pilot.

Does requesting an LOI sign an agreement?

No. The public step only records a request for an LOI review. It does not create or sign a legally binding agreement.
